Advocacy & News

Vermont Head Start AssociationWe Promote Discussion About Quality Early Education

Head Start programs statewide hold community events for parents, families and the public in mind. These events are a good way to discuss quality early education.

We outreach to Vermont lawmakers to educate them about the facts. We also coordinate with Head Start parents to help them tell their stories about early education and comprehensive services they received. The result of VHSA and other advocacy groups is to help the Vermont Legislature make informed decisions.

VHSA partners with New England Head Start Association and the National Head Start Association to work on issues in Washington that influence federal law makers, too.
