A variety of jobs are available in Vermont’s Head Start and Early Head Start programs.  In Vermont, there are more than 500 individuals working as teachers, teacher assistants, substitute teachers, family services, health/nutrition aid, nurse, disabilities managers, cooks, supervisors and many more professions.

Practice-Based Coach, Rutland County Head Start:  Join a high quality Early Childhood Education team, serving 135 children, that holds a 5 STAR quality rating from the Vermont Child Development Division and accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children. This is a 40 hour position, 52 weeks per year. The candidate must have the ability to implement focused, intentional and effective interventions with Teachers to measurably improve high quality teaching practices in a center-based setting. Support Teachers’ use of effective teaching practices that lead to positive outcomes for children.

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Ability to coach various adult learning styles required. Minimum of two years early childhood instructional experience. Pre-K CLASS Observer Certification, or obtainment of certification within one year of employment. Ability to gather and track data related to coaching progress and outcomes.
