Vermont Legislation

Kids learning at their Vermont Head Start programEarly Education Matters

The VHSA reviews state legislative priorities annually.  After priorities are set in the fall, VHSA will monitor bills and discuss strategies at monthly meetings.

VHSA provides testimony about the impact of proposed early education and child care bills routinely.  In preparation, VHSA collaborates with parents, families, community, and state partners to educate local and state policy makers. This helps Head Start families have a voice of what matters to them.

Please visit this site for links to bills that impact families and young children or visit the Vermont General Assembly website.
