Dr. Hanna-Attisha is a pediatrician\, professor\, public health advocate whose research exposed the Flint water crisis\, revealing that children were exposed to dangerous levels of lead. She is a mom\, health care advocate\, understands systems\, development\, marginally oppressed populations and capitalism. Her focus will be on the COVID crisis and how communities can work through it with a focus on education.

DESCRIPTION:The New England Head Start Association holds its annual leadership conference at the Doubletree\, in Nashua\, NH.  There are two purposes of the conference. First\, this is training and networking opportunity for Head Start leaders\, parents and partners.  Second as a regional training event\, attendees learn how to lead  staff\, partners\, families and young children.   Ultimately leadership helps families and their children succeed.

SUMMARY:Annual Early Childhood Conference & Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Registration to the conference is here! Deadline 9.13 for Early Bird Rates\nRegister today!  The 3 day annual conference is October 24 – 26th\, at Mount Snow Resort\, West Dover\, VT.  Before registering\, select from over 60 workshops focusing on families and children from birth to third grade.  Go to the conference brochure for details. The Vermont Head Start Association (VHSA) and Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) are partners with the Bennington County Child Care Association (BCCCA) and the Windham Early Childhood Educators Co-op (WECEC) this year. \nDiscounts apply to the Early Bird registration.  And\, if you are a member of WECEC\, BCCCA or VTAEYC\, you will receive a discount\, too.  Another discount is offered to program staff attending college.  There are a limited number of scholarships available on a first come basis in this case.  Lastly\, accredited programs receive discounts too. \nWe expect a diverse group of professionals from center-based\, home-based\, pre-school and infant toddler programs.
