Floater / Center Support- 

We are seeking an individual to support the daily operation of classrooms through active engagement with children and completion of tasks, and to assist with front desk coverage when assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old with a High School diploma or equivalent. Must complete VT Career Ladder Level Fundamentals course or a 3 credit child development course within 2 years of hire. Must speak, write and understand Standard English. Must pass a background record and fingerprint check. One year of experience working with groups of young children in a center-based early childhood setting is preferred. Must have basic computer and data entry skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a pre-employment physical exam.

Job duties include participation in the planning and implementation of curriculum with guidance from the lead teacher. Helps assure completion of developmental screenings, on-going assessments, curriculum plans, Individual Learning Plans, home visits/family conferences and on-going family communication under the direction of the lead teacher. Actively supervises and assures safety of children at all times.

All candidates must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively on a multi-disciplinary team and must complete a Career Ladder Level I Fundamentals Course or a three (3) credit child development course within 12 months of hire.

Hourly rate – $17.57-$19.00/Hr., based on experience and qualifications.
