National Head Start Results and Research
The Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation advises the Acting Assistant Secretary for the Administration for Children and Families on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of programs to improve the economic and social well-being of children and families.
The Office of Head Start Program Information Report (PIR) provides comprehensive data on the services, staff, children, and families served by Head Start and Early Head Start programs nationwide. All grantees and delegates are required to submit PIR for Head Start and Early Head Start programs. National, regional and program level data is available annually in September.
